Harvey, Irma, Katrina; names that have awakened awareness that something is happening with our weather that needs immediate action. Greenhouse gases such as CO2 and CH4 (methane) have caused the Earth to warm to the point that it is threatening human life in an unprecedented way. Chief among the contributing polluters are our personal transportation devices, aka, cars and trucks burning fossil fuel inefficiently.
Fortunately there is an answer. Worldwide, drivers are adopting Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV's) and Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV's) at an accelerated rate. France and the UK have committed to phasing out vehicles powered by Internal Combustion Engines (ICE's). China has announced it will outlaw ICE's completely.
Just about every auto manufacturer has introduced or will shortly introduce their versions of BEV's and PHEV's. With Federal tax incentives, lower prices, greater model selection, and greater range, it is time to seriously consider an electric car. There is no better way to investigate them, than talking to an owner. Thus, you are invited to do that by attending one of two Go Green Electric Car Shows in 2020. The first is the Drive Electric Earth Day EV Car Show, Saturday April 25, at Slippery Rock University and the Go Green Electric Car Show, Saturday, October 3, in Cranberry Township where owners will display their cars and be able to answer any questions you may have about EV car ownership.
